  1. Following in her sister’s footsteps, Mary is so proud to be playing clarinet!

  2. What a glow! It’s so grand to see someone find something they love, and then get to share that love with others — you go, Mary!

  3. I’m going to bet one of her first songs learned on the clarinet was When The Saints Go Marching In 🙂 Seriously, I love to see the joy of music in young people’s eyes. Thanks for stopping by Spatter…

  4. ohhh i used to play the Clarinet Is she just starting? does ashe like it?

  6. Adorable, she looks so happy. They let us sample insturments when I was in shcool to see if we’d like to play…I almost passed out trying to play the clarinet and flute! LOL I just couldn’t do it…it takes talent.

  13. Great pic! Such a pretty girl 🙂 Happy WW and thanks so much for stopping by earlier and your kind words! 🙂

  14. I love the sound of the clarinet! It’s a fabulous instrument and I can see an eager student of music in that shot! Great smile!

  15. That’s a great shot. I’d love to hear her play.

  16. Oh noes! A musical instrument of torture in the hands of another stickybean!

If you can endure the learning phase, the playing phase for the rest of her life will be very rewarding. Our cousin (Mom’s nephew) teaches Music in an elementary school! He use to play us Billy Joel and Elton John and all sorts of wonderful music… Now that he’s teaching kids we mostly hear Chop Sticks and scales. It’s brutal! hahaha!

  17. I hope she has a fabulous time learning to play her new instrument 🙂

  18. She looks very happy!
